Privacy
Privacy policy.
Short, because there is not much to tell. There are no accounts. The app keeps your records in a private space for your phone on our server. The website asks for your details only when you join the list or place an order. Here is the whole picture, and it applies wherever you live.
The app
Your records are kept on our server, in a private space for your phone. There is no sign-up and no account. Instead, the app uses a random ID from your phone to keep your records separate. It is not your name, email or phone number. Other users cannot see your records, and you cannot see theirs.
What is kept: the rifles, loads, groups, tests and photos you add, plus that phone ID, which kind of phone it is, and when the app last connected.
Making the app better for everyone. We look at the calibres and projectiles people add, without anything that identifies you, so we can add popular ones to the app's built-in library.
Reinstalling keeps your records, because your phone keeps the same ID. A factory reset or a new phone can give you a new ID; email us and we will try to help move your records across.
Deleting your records. Email us and we will work with you to find your phone's records and delete them all.
The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Tutorial videos are embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). When you play one, YouTube receives a standard video request, handled under Google's privacy policy.
This website
The email list. If you join, we collect the email address you give us. We use it to send the fortnightly update and nothing else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can just ask us to remove you.
Orders. When you buy something, we need your name, delivery address, email and phone number to get it to you. Payment is handled by our payment provider; we never see your full card number.
Cookies and analytics. Our store platform, Shopify, uses cookies so the cart and checkout work, and records basic visit statistics. The email sign-up and updates run on Shopify's own Forms and Messaging apps. We don't use any other analytics or marketing apps.
Fonts. Some pages load type from Google Fonts, so Google receives a standard font request when a page loads.
We never sell your details, to anyone, for anything.
Where the data lives
App records: on our server, hosted by DigitalOcean in Sydney, Australia, and reached through Cloudflare. Website data (the email list and orders): held by Shopify, which may store and process it in other countries, including Canada and the United States.
Your rights, wherever you are
Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also tell us to stop emailing you at any time. Some places, such as the EU, the UK and California, give these rights in law. We give them to everyone.
Questions or complaints
Write to support@zerynprecision.com and we will answer plainly. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the privacy regulator where you live. In Australia, that is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new effective date. We will not quietly widen what we collect.
